Diagnosis
Diagnosis is the key to treatment. Oral pain is difficult to diagnosis at times and our job is to determine the cause of your pain. Without a proper diagnosis, it is impossible to provide proper treatment. Through our training and technology, such as Cone Beam Computed Tomography, we can help determine the diagnosis and proper course of treatment.
Common Procedures
Root Canal Therapy
Root canal therapy is a common procedure that can relieve pain and restore a tooth that has been inflamed beyond repair. This procedure involves removing the pulp tissue from inside the tooth and sealing the tooth from both ends.
Endodontic Retreatment
Sometimes teeth do not fully heal after root canal therapy or become re-infected over time due to a new cavity. Re-treatment addresses these problems by removing the previous root canal filling material, cleaning the root canal space again and re-filling the space.
Endodontic Surgery
In rare cases, teeth may need to be treated by surgery. This procedure treats the end of the roots and surrounding bone.
Traumatic injuries
If you experience a traumatic injury to the face that involves the teeth, you may need to seek treatment from an endodontist. If a tooth is fractured or dislodged it may need to be treated with root canal therapy.
Internal Bleaching
As a result of a traumatic injury sometimes the tooth can become discolored. This can be fixed with bleaching the tooth from the inside after completing root canal therapy.
